Neon District

Neon District is a Roblox cyberpunk showcase/roleplay game made by InfiniteEffect, created on October 31, 2011. The games description describes it as "This is a cyberpunk themed roleplay and exploring game. I often update this game with new areas and items, be sure to check every corner, there is always new things to be discovered."

Gameplay[]

Neon District is a showcase and roleplay game. It is set in the year of 2042 where Earth, once a beautiful place, has been polluted, corrupted, and filled with crime. It is set in an area known as Neon District located somewhere in an unknown dystopian North American city. When you spawn, you can find an apartment building with an NPC at the front desk. On the desk is a readable piece of text named "A travellers guide to Neon District", which details out the lore of Neon District and the world revolving around it.

The player can customize their roleplay names and insert in some clothes and accessories using the customization tool. The player can also insert catalog IDs by going into clothing stores that allow the player to insert IDs, such as the BE FASHION machine at spawn, the Discount Clothes store and the BE FASHION store.

The player can choose from various roles; Scientist, The WATCH, Syndicate, Media, Citizen, Executive, Wonderer, or Hacker. Each of these roles have their own unique descriptions and purposes.

The player can purchase various items with ⓔ E-Cash, the game's currency. The items are cosmetic, having no impact on gameplay aside from roleplay applications.

The player can also rent apartments with ⓔ E-Cash, that last until the player leaves or rents a brand new apartment. The player cannot rent apartments that are already rented by another person until that person leaves the apartment vacant.

The game also features Episodes, which are temporary events that change the map to adapt a certain condition for players to roleplay in. There are 12 unique episodes in the game, and they usually take place in specific locations around the map, such as the Amery Banquet happening at Amery International, or the Car Crash in the Night Market.

Players can obtain money with the "Pay day!" that happens every 2 minutes, for 20 ⓔ E-Cash or buy ⓔ E-Cash with Robux by visiting ATMs or clicking on the money symbol on the GUI.

The game contains many hidden pieces of text around the map that give out extra lore that is rather ambiguous or mysterious.
